Lessons/Content under Home Economics:
Subject#1:Bread and Pastry Production (Term 1)
- Our first lecture is all about the Introduction of BPP for us to know the basics of this specialization. And also we were able to familiarize with the recipes and concepts used by professional bakers and pastry chef.
2. Next is all about the tools and equipments. be fore we proceed to baking, we need to know the use of the tools because without the right use of equipment, it will cause us headaches. Even though the tools are just half of the equation in baking, it's still important to know the right use of it.
3. Next, as a H.E. student we need to be aware about food safety and sanitation.
4. Lastly, after we familiarize everything, we start in baking. Most of our grade are based on our performance in baking.
Subject#2: General Mathematics
The purpose of this subject is for us to know the basic mathematics that we can use if we are planning to have a business. And also it will broaden our knowledge beyond what's required in our track.
Subject#3: Oral Communication
This subjects helps us to know the proper ways on communicating with other people. For example, how we communicate properly in our future customers.
Subject#4: HOPE ( Health Optimizing Physical Education)
As a TVL student, this subject helps us to improve our health and to be physically fit for our chosen strand.
Those are some of subjects that we are learning from this strand that can help us in our chosen career in the near future.
